Yes you do. Buttons are ornaments and besides the knitting is basically done. Use a shawl pin to close the top for today!

I’d say YES too! I resurrected a lace shawl that has sat since June, and though I’ve made progress, it’s still a couple weeks to being finished. I am very impressed with your blocking method there… the board, the wires, the pins. Beautiful finishing!

According to the “Official Rules” if you are comfortable with calling it done, then it is done. I failed at my project miserably, but I would say yours is definitely done!

I think absolutely. Buttons are not an integral part of a cardigan–the knitting part is what matters.

Of course it will be finished without buttons…
you need to choose between gold, silver or bronze & it would be presumptious to choose before the race is over !
