Thankful Thursday – Fiber Arts Edition
This Thankful Thursday I thought I’d focus on knitting and fiber related things.
3. I’m thankful that Anne taught me how to spin. I’ve moved from a spindle to a wheel but either method gives me the ability to spin one-of-a-kind yarns.
2. I’m thankful the Salt Lake Valley is filled with amazing yarn stores that carry all the yarns I can’t spin.
Blazing Needles
Three Wishes
Wool Cabin
Black Sheep Wool Co.
Unraveled Sheep
1. I’m thankful for all the inspirational knitting books I own. ‘Cause a grrl needs patterns for all that yarn!
Don’t forget to check out Norma’s blog today for all the information on how purchasing my patterns today will benefit the Red Scarf Project. Basically, all the proceeds from sales of my patterns will be donated to the Red Scarf Fund. But you must complete the purchase today and you must put “Red Scarf” in the comment section when you complete the transaction. ETA: Apparently, there is no PayPal comment box if you purchase patterns through Ravelry. So, you do NOT have to put “Red Scarf” in the comment section. All pattern sales from 6:00a.m. today to 6:00 a.m. tomorrow will be donated to the Red Scarf Fund whether there is a comment or not.

Excellent list of thankfulness. I posted about my hobbies today, too.
Lovely skeins and books! Love the counting backwards on the list ala Letterman style.
Look at all that spinning. I can’t believe how lucky we are to have so many great shops in our valley.
Pshaw. I taught you barely nuttin. Mostly it’s all you.
I’m thankful we had 4 years where I got to know you and Margene and Mim and Cheryl….and… and….
What a generous offer. I have admired the Feather Duster scarf for a while, and this was the perfect opportunity to buy it. Unfortunately, there was no “comments” place to put “Red Scarf.” I clicked Buy Now, it took me straight to PayPal, and PayPal took my money without offering a place to put any comments. I’m still happy to have the pattern, and maybe you can figure out how to get the money to the Red Scarf project (which also has 2 of my scarves).
Hi, I just bought the cowl pattern thru Ravelry and when the transaction came up it did not have a comment section.
Time to go shopping!
Such lovely books. (I love my Omas.) Now off to shop!
You’ve got some GREAT books in that pile. (I’m jealous about the PoK, but at least I have my own copy of Heirloom Knitting and Twined Knitting.)
Of course, you know how I feel about books!
what a lovely thankful list!
and yay for your wonderful donation to the red scarf project!
We think we are lucky here in the NE, but you have an equally wonderful community and resources. Anne was a wonderful enabler, helping you remember how to spin.
