Resurrection

Perhaps it’s the kick-off for NaBloPoMo or the temporary restfulness from the extra hour of sleep, but I’ve decided to resurrect the blog.  Will I blog every day in November?  Not likely. But I’ll be doing some book reviews and sharing some recently finished knitting.

But first, what better way to kick off the blog’s new life than with pet photos!

Here she is helping me knit the button bands on Sweater #14:

Or, is she just begging to be fed?

I’m guessing the latter.

How many of you gave out candy last night? Typically I get no more than 20 kids. But last night I had more than 60. Anyone else notice an uptick in Trick-or-Treaters???

Your cat is adorable. I love her patchy stripes and wee round feet.

We had the same, lame 4 groups of trick-or-treaters. I think it’s our location. I do think there were fewer kids in the neighborhood this year as well.

I think I may join you in NaBloPoMo. Lots of cat photos this month! LOL!

    What a pretty kitty!

There were tons of trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood, but only about 15 came to the door. I have no idea why – it’s not like we spend the rest of the year chasing kids down the street yelling at them or anything …

*chuckle* We turn off the lights and hide out from the trick-or-treaters. We’re not JUST mean: our yard and driveway is so steep and rather dangerous that…. well, you’re a lawyer and so is my husband. He’s too paranoid to encourage anyone to approach, especially in the dark. And when we DID give out candy, we’d only get enough people to make it annoying and have a lot of candy left over.

Not one trick-or-treater. Not. One. I live in a large apartment complex for the love of Pete so you’d think I’d get a handful. This year I bought cheese crackers instead of candy just in case. Now the boys have snacks.

November is just an encouragement to get re-involved with the blog. I, at least, will share that particular challenge.

Downtick on the treaters. 90 for a high a few years ago. About 40 now. Our neighborhood seems to be growing up.

We got a fair number, but not as many as last year. I bought more candy, because last year I ran out. So who is snarfing it now? Just trying not to get the chocolate on my knitting.

No gremlins here. *Love* the kitty – her colors are similar to one of ours, except I think yours has more white :)

    You’re posting?

Kitty looks so much more mature now. I just love her black teardrop.

    Welcome Back!

We had 7 trick or treaters. That’s it.

We were at a friends house so no idea how many kids came by. ;-)
November is “more of my favorite people month”!

There are probably more kids in your area now, especially since houses all over the valley are more affordable at the moment. That’s quite a jump in numbers, though.

Yay!! I’m going to give the daily posting this a try again this November.

I had a significant downturn in trick-or-treaters at the door — our weather was lousy, for one thing, and the kids are all growing up!!

    Glad you’re back!
PS: just finished my third Forest Canopy – added beads in the border this time. Thanks for a lovely pattern!
