P.Y.T.

I know a lot of people like it, but pink is not my favorite color. Perhaps it’s the “girly” connotation or just the paleness of it. Or, mostly likely, it’s because it doesn’t look good on me.

When I finished the prototype of my next lace design it was time to choose a yarn in which to knit the final sample. I knew Shibui Silk Cloud would work perfectly, but what color???

Looks like the time has come to expand my color palette beyond black, tan, and orange.

I think I wore too much pink as a kid, being the first and for many years the only, girl child. That is a lovely color, though.

    How lovely.

Sooner or later, the pink gets everyone. ;^)

I was such a tomboy growing up and would have never, ever touched anything remotely pink. But pink got me in my late 20s, and although I resisted the urge to turn my grad student apartment into Barbie paradise, now, in my 30s, I occasionally wear pink (but just a little). Pink shawls, for instance, are perfect! :)

It was brighter and less pale in person! I LOVE it!

You could give it to Margene. That’s her color.

Are you intentionally using titles of Michael Jackson songs for the titles of your blog entries….or is it an amazing coincidence? :)

It looks like a winner from this side of the internet link….are you obsessed with MJ right now? It’s okay, just noticing the headings on your last two postings. Please have a safe and happy 4th!

It’s funny, I am so not a pink person, but there have been a few pink shades lately I have been attracted to.

    Your new design looks lovely!

I like some pinks, but not a big fan of baby pink. Though the way it photographed, it’s less intense than real-life. Can you make it stay that color?

I’m not usually a pink person either, but that’s a lovely shade!

The pink is lovely. I just finished your Beach Glass shawl and it is beautiful. Thanks for designing such a quick, beautiful shawl.

Mmmmm….. pink puffy clouds of lace.

It’s lovely, despite the color. (Yeah, I always hated pink too. Every time I think it is time to break away from my palette prejudices, I buy something in pink or purple and then can’t bring myself to wear it.)

The color suits the pattern perfectly. Simply beautiful!

Me too, though I love pink in flowers and possibly in decorating (though I’m moving out of that phase probably for the REST OF MY LIFE BECAUSE THIS MAUVE KITCHEN IS GAGGING ME RIGHT NOW! hee. But it looks like crap on me unless it’s salmon or coral, which is ok.

Having said that, there is always a time for pink, and I suppose a lace shawl is it. :)

I didn’t think I was a pink person until recently. I find myself drawn to many pale pinks. That one is lovely.
