Puttin’ On The Pounds

I intended to blog about some unique candy that arrived in our office last week.

    ha! my (russian) MiL brought some of this candy back for my husband a while ago. :) cracks me up. there’s also “pocky for men.”

    When I lived in Ukraine, my favorite treat to hunt down was Jean-Claude Van Damme bubblegum. It was packaged like Bazooka, only it had Jean-Claude stickers inside. He’d be in various poses with badly translated phrases such as, “I am as cute as I am brave!”.

    Wow. The world is suddenly a wider and richer place.

    Also, thank you so much for Forest Canopy again! You didn’t have to do that–I’m the dork who didn’t keep track of the first copy.

    Now I need to finish it. It’s a pleasure to knit since you pointed out how tight I was knitting and I loosened up. Maybe I can knit lace after all.

    It’s not just for Russians. There’s a Pocky Sticks for men (see the box here: http://www.alde.com/anime/pocky1.jpg)
    It has dark chocolate on it. I think they are gravely mistaken about which sex is attracted to that!
