Magical
Isn’t grafting the most magical thing . . . ever!
Thanks to everyone who offered to test knit the scarf version of the Fountain Pen shawl. I’ve made arrangements with two volunteers, but I kept a folder with the names of everyone who offered. Once I get some more charts worked up for my other ideas, I’ll come knocking.

Grafting lace-weight yarn is tough, too! Well done!
Magic! The woman who invented that one was a clever grrl indeed.
Grafting and turning a heel or toe. Man, no matter how many times I do that I feel that I have done a magical thing.
Why are people so afraid of grafting when you can make it look so eazy peazy?
Yes, truly magical including heel turns.
That yarn with that pattern–perfect. It’s exactly what I was imagining when I saw the lace photo.
Hey, Katherine. I brought the scarf to the shop if you want to see it. Cynthia was wearing it when I left.
Grafting is still just as magical as the first time I did it. It makes me smile every damn time!
I would have loved to be one of your volunteers, but I can’t even keep up with my own projects, let alone make a time commitment to someone else…
Dang! I read about the grafting after I buy the yarn. I guess I’ll have to suck it up. Now I’m just waiting for the pattern, friend!
Looks great!!
Susan
I’m trying the fountainpen shawl and having trouble trying to interpret the repeat boxes. Could you walk me through it please? I bought the Interweave Knitting just for your pattern!
Thanks
