Five On Friday
This week’s “Five On Friday” is brought to you by my cell phone camera.
Since last Friday, I . . . .
. . . started a new sweater:
. . . went to a baseball game and put the cup holder on the back of the seat to good use:
. . . got a haircut (probably should have had the stylist take care of the grey, too):
. . . surreptitiously took a photo of the FLDS protest in front of the state courthouse while stopped at a red light:
. . . chose a yarn to use for Margene’s Feather Duster KAL:
And you??

That yarn looks very familiar. Nice color. You’ve made quick progress on that sweater!
What’s up with that protest? And you get a lot more people at your baseball games than we do. I’m using white KSH for my feather duster.
I’m using a Port Silken Kydd from Elann. Now, all I need to start it is for it to get here;-0
I gave up doing something with my grey (I started going grey in high school, really) my nephew pronounced that ’silver is a cool color’
Meh – it’s not enough gray to worry about. Just think of it as adding depth to your hair.
When she was 5, my daughter looked at me with big, round eyes and said, “Mommy! Your hair has SPARKLES!” So that’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it.
I rather like the hints of lighter color. It gives your hair depth.
Yeah, you don’t know much about grey hairs!
Nice knitting! I got some Shibui for the Feathers.
If only I had such few gray hairs. Like Martha said, they’re “sparkles”. Pretty sweater. Mine Feather Duster will be with KSH in Dewberry.
1. Got a little auburn in my hair, for the psychological lift.
2. Spent 3 days in Oakland with 2,000 new friends
3. Watched “He’s Just Not That Into You” via AppleTV. It’s really sweet.
4. Lunch with Eemapalooza, mom friends.
5. Packed for a driving vacation to Indiana: Sock yarn, sock yarn, clothes, is there room for more yarn?
5.
Nah, go grey gracefully. I am surprised that Martha would admit to grey!
I love a KAL, so I’m in with my Silk Cloud in Chinese Red. That Kidsilk Haze is gargus, though.
Love the sweater. What yarn and where can I purchase the pattern?
Silver rocks! Leave it, my friend. Leave it.
Sparkles? Gosh, I have a diamond mine on my head!
Your blue sweater almost completed is so perfect. I am new to all this so is this your pattern to purchase? What yarn are you using. That is just the sweater I have been looking for and would appreciate very much if you could let me know, pattern, yarn, etc and how to order them. Love your website. thank you. Granny
