Seeing Double
If you frequent the “friend activity” section of Ravelry as often as I do, you probably saw that I started and finished a sweater for my daughter on Sunday evening after I finished spinning my Spunky Eclectic roving.
Yes, you read that right . . . I knit a whole sweater in an evening. Granted, I use the term “sweater” only in the loosest sense of the word. But I did produce an actual garment in one night.
Pattern: Liesl by Ysolda Teague
Yarn: Classic Elite Newport Cotton (discontinued) — a mere three skeins (about 210 yards)
Needle: U.S. #11 (8mm) Susanne ebony

My daughter likes hers so much, she’s placed an order for a friend.

Summer’s barely started and she’s tan already.
It’s super-cute on her. This first order for another probably won’t be the last.
Very cute! I love the color! This makes me want to knit one myself. ^_^
Waw…it’s beautiful
You are a very good mom.
And you knit for her friends? What a mom. It (and your daughter) is way cute.
Very cute sweater! Your daughter is so beautiful and it’s not a scarf, so perhaps it will last longer?
Maybe you could put an i-cord tether on it so it doesn’t get lost??
It looks great.
Way cute!
Looks great!! Beautiful color on your daughter too.
We’re going to be calling you Lily Chin…that reminds me of the sweater she crocheted one night on the Letterman Show! Watch that carpal tunnel…..
Was the ink even dry on the pattern before you got it done?
It’s adorable on her.
It’s precious!!
That’s adorable on her!
And doesn’t she look cute in it! (I would not look anything like cute in such a short ‘sweater’!). What beautiful 3 ply you made! Yowsa!
I love it, it’s beautiful! And… there’s no way I could have done that in one evening.
Oh, and your model is a knockout! : )
This is lovely! It looks really great on her. I love the colour and it will be a wearable garment for the summer.
Wowza! That’s impressive. It looks great on her. And what a wonderful compliment to Mom that she already placed an order for her friend. That’s great.
Absolutely adorable! There’s something to be said for instant gratification. You also managed to skip the trip to the mall to create a new ensemble:)
what a beauty! (the daughter AND the sweater)
Obviously you’ve returned to health with bionic knitting powers. Is there anything you want to tell us?
Wow, I just love that! So cute!
Lovely!
Well, I think you deserve a little instant gratification, don’t you?
cuuuuuute!
You’ve convinced me. I’m buying the d*mn pattern now. I’ve drooled over this sweater too much over the last few weeks, convincing myself that I didn’t need another pattern ever again, and your’s was the one the broke the camel’s back.
Geez.
Resistance if futile.
My NYC wants one – guess I’ll have to do it. J
I think it’s your daughter who makes it look even prettier.
