Old Timers
If you’ve been spinning for more than a year, I suspect you remember PippiKneeSocks–pusher purveyor of hand-painted rovings and yarns. Well, Amy posted earlier this week that Pippi is having some financial difficulties and Amy has taken the lead in trying to throw a little cash her way. Any cause of Amy’s is a cause of mine since Amy is one of those people who always steps up to the plate with donations of fiber and yarn from her shop when a cry for help is sounded. So, as soon as I read Amy’s post I started spinning up some merino roving I bought a few months back from Enchanted Knoll.
I finished it last night and set the twist this morning. Despite the rainy weather, it’s already dry:
I’m sending this off to Amy tomorrow and it will be included in the auctions she’s established for Pippi on eBay. She started a couple of those auctions today, including an Indigo Moon batt (swoon!).
So watch Amy’s blog for the auctions. I have it on good authority that there will also be some handspun for sale from spinners far more skilled than me.

I was stunned to read this on Amy’s blog as I am now spinning roving that Pippi dyed some time ago. I’ve already been bidding, too.
You are a good person. And the yarn looks beautiful!
And Amy said that those who don’t win anything can always send money via paypal. I hate to hear of someone with two little ones losing her home.
How awful!
Lovely yarn.
The yarn is gorgeous!!! I can’t wait to have it in my hands, and then to let it go. I think I’m going to have to ask hubby to bid on some things for me.
Thank you so very much for helping out. xox
What a gorgeous skein! And for a good cause too… I’m off to investigate.
Gorgeous skein! And you are a wonderful spinner btw- I know first hand through our skein exchange! Let the bidding begin!
Thank you!
