I am a big proponent of getting rid of old things.

You could try to sell the old iPods for a few bucks.

Apple should also take them as part of their e-waste recycling program. Here is the site for their iPod and cell phone recycling program:

Nice gift! I'm awaiting the day, which I feel creeping up on me, that I'm going to have to move up in the phone department to a PDA. I have Abigail's hand-me-down mini iPod. (I think that's what it is.... It doesn't look like any of the ones in your photo. It was not instant love, but I've learned to love it.

I guess your husband doesn't have to worry about limited functionality now, does he? Nice gift! Our family is still sans-iPods. Maybe it should stay that way - it appears to be an addiction.

Ha ha ha ha! :-) Yep, they're like coat hangers. They multiply behind your back. ;-)

My husband inherited my old 3G iPod, and within the week he had replaced the battery with one of those do-it-yourself kits. It works brilliantly now, unlike the days when I had to charge it every single night if I wanted it to play for more than five minutes the next morning...

Happy Anniversary!

Having more than one sounds useful. I'm leaving for Halifax tomorrow and mine needs recharging. Having only one means I don't have music to listen to on the plane if I don't recharge. You can always have one of 6 or so ready to go.

Happy 20th!

That is pretty funny about the iPods. We bought the first one, a Nano, for my stepson, but then I went all out and got a iPod Video for myself. Eventually we will get one for the bf.

Congratulations! Pete and I celebrate 21 in a few weeks. I don't think we will be surprising one or the other with an iTouch, although I have been sorely tempted to get one. I have a 2nd gen Nano and cannot live without it. When my last one died, I was in the apple store the same day.

Happy Anniversary to you! I, too seem to attract out-of-date electronics. Both my son and his wife have iPhones and love them. Even their 3 year old knows how to operate it to get to the photos!

Very funny! I'm sure Apple doesn't know about this. They have the devices wired so that when different nervous system signals are sensed from different hands, the device DIES. You have subverted their plot.

Congratulations on the 20! Wonderful achievement. You are very very good to your guy.
