The Cuff

OK, got your yarn and needles?

Loosely cast on 40 stitches.

Divide the stitches evenly over 4 dpns and join into the round, being careful not to twist the stitches.

Work the cuff as follows:

Rnds 1-15: *k3, p2; repeat from * to end of rnd.

When you’re finished, your piece should look like this:

Come back to tomorrow and I’ll give you the stitch pattern for the leg.

Bloglines Update: I received a very nice email from Bloglines today telling me they have successfully moved all my subscribers to this new feed. To do that, however, they had to purge the old feed from their system. I just checked and, sure enough, the old feed is gone. However, the new feed shows only 300 subscribers. *gulp*

They have, however, told me:

“It may take some time for the correct number of Bloglines subscribers to show up on your blog. We have tested this repeatedly, so we know you haven’t lost any subscribers.”

Time will tell.

uhm…i miss the three socks at the top of the page.

Hmmmmm….I’m not getting your feed through bloglines any more. When I click your link at the top of your page, bloglines tells me that I’m already subscribed, but it’s not letting me know when you’ve updated. Am I missing something important?

Is there any reason I won’t be able to do these on two circs?

I second the “I miss the 3 socks at the top of the page”…they always fascinated me….

  4. Beth on 06 Feb 2007 at 10:27 am

I second what Angela says – I didn’t get the updated notice (to the correct new feed) to the last post either. I only got here today just because I was checking on my own…

  5. stephanie on 06 Feb 2007 at 1:36 pm

I’m still here. But then I have always read through Google Reader…

I miss the three socks, too — *snicker, snort*

My new site is up as well, so come on over and DON’T get your retinas seared ~ my treat. Don’t mention it.

How nice of you to offer a free sock–you’re an extremely generous person, m’dear.

I have noticed it take a day or two for new subscribers to show up. How cool they could do it for you…hope it works. Now if your feed would show up on my Bloglines! Grrrr.

  8. Stitch-n-Snitch on 06 Feb 2007 at 8:45 pm

I came over from Margene’s blog ’cause you didn’t show up on my Bloglines. Hopefully they’ll sort things out soon!

Well, I WAS a bloglines subscriber, but I moved everything to Google reader, so I won’t show up in your final talley. I got sick of bloglines doing…um…. weird shit like they just did with you.

  10. Marguerite on 06 Feb 2007 at 8:58 pm

I subscribed with your Bloglines button but I’m not getting your feed.

Sympathy on all the problems, but your new blog is looking great. I love that it loads faster since I live in the backwoods and only have access to dialup.

I was, and still am a bloglines subscriber and was correctly linked.

  12. Wendy on 06 Feb 2007 at 9:06 pm

Yeah, I’m having the same problem of your feed not showing up — very annoying, but I check in anyway. Just in case. :-)

  13. Stacey on 06 Feb 2007 at 10:11 pm

I don’t know if this has to do with the feed switch – I subbed to the new feed and it’s not updating on bloglines.

Luckily, I realize this and come here everyday anyway. :)

  14. AmyP on 06 Feb 2007 at 10:12 pm

I didn’t know bloglines did that!

  15. Birdsong on 07 Feb 2007 at 1:48 am

My bloglines has the switch in place and shows you now have 366 subscribers – I wonder if each has to “hit” your new site to take? Anyway, I was sick all last week, sometimes too sick to knit, but could still dream and downloaded two of your sock patterns from Knitpicks, looking forward to more socks. I like the looks of the new site and the bright and shiny banner at the top.

OK, so basically we’re talking a cuff ribbing of 2″

Nice yarn, and will be quite helpful that you’re using a light color. I think I have some Browns Superwash Worsted that will do.

    The new blog is fantastic
That’s nice of bloglines to move everyone over. I had no idea they did that.

I hitch-hiked to your blog via another..and am quite anxious to do the sock..although a beginner ’sockster’..hope I can complete it.
    A great site..so happy I found you~~

I just discovered your blog through a friend and subscribed through Bloglines. Thanks for the worsted weight sock pattern. I have been knitting socks for awhile but was in the mood for a thicker sock.

  20. Carole on 07 Feb 2007 at 4:36 am

I’m here but Bloglines hasn’t picked up the new feeds yet. Grrrr.
