Very Cool! I recently purchased some yarn for dyeing and having it knitted up would make it so much easier to dye. Now I know what to do with my sweater machine. Thanks.

Delightful that you are playing with this dyeing technique! I am guessing a gift more than something for yourself.

It looks like the Judy Jacobs technique of knitting, dyeing, unraveling, and reknitting into something else. But what else??

Hrmm.... Especially dyed color that's paler in the middle? Maybe you're going to ravel it, ball it back up, do a couple more dye jobs in a few more colors in the same gradual fashion (or perhaps not), and then do something spectacular in fair-isle patterning that none of us would have dreamed of, but in fact, all covet and marvel (yet again) at your brilliance and over-all paragon-of-womanhoodness? and then rush to duplicate (or vary on a theme, as preferred)....?

That might just be me....

Hmm ... I'm still sticking with the bunny idea from the last post. Folly? Maybe. But if turns out to be true, I'll look mighty clever! :D

Are you going to felt it up and sew something together? Or are you going to overdye it again? And mabye unravel it after you're done dying it?

I'm probably wrong, but I think you're going to unravel it and then knit a pair of comfy socks.
