Procrastiknitting

Since I have a contract project due very soon, you would think I spent the weekend finishing the knitting and then writing up the pattern. Nope. I’m stalled.

Of course, that didn’t stop me from knitting on another SIP. True to form, I set this aside also even though I only have the toe to complete.

I then amused myself by shopping for yarn for my Sockapalooza-4 Pal. What do you think?

Since the shopping didn’t take much time, I set about washing a long-forgotten alpaca fleece I uncovered in the garage.

Then I combed a few of the clean locks . . .

. . . carded it together with some heathery wool top . . .

. . . and spun up a bit just for grins:

Now where did I put that contract project . . . . . .

I have to admit that I’m surprised that you’re a procrastinator.

Hey, I’m wearing nearly that same shade of nailpolish on my toes!

Yeah, I had nothing more to say really, except I want sockyarn like that, too. But I have this huge stash, you see, so I’m not buying more… The spinning stash though *cough* it’s only two “small” bins really……. Yeah, gotta go…

    Procrastinator? YOU?? Never!

You’re letting your true self show through. Looks like you’re more unsettled than procrastinating.

Sounds like my weekend! Started and finished a sock, started a new sock (different yarn, differnt pattern), didn’t work on any WIPs at all! But I had fun!

That yarn that you spun is so beautiful! The sip is quite cute, what yarn is that? And hey the sock yarn for your pal …. well she is one lucky person!

At least you’ve made some fibery accomplishments!

I’d have a hard time believing you’re a procrastiknitter. More like too many irons in the fire.

Susan, you are a girl after my own heart. I have a huge afternoon and evening ahead of me today and I’m wandering around looking for a new elastic to control the tension on my Lendrum wheel.

I love the color of the yarn you’ve chosen for your pal and what you’ve spun up. If I didn’t know better I’d say “I” could be your swap partner. Those are exactly the colors I love for myself.

Can’t wait to see your projects as they develop. Now, get to work!

It will get done, Susan. I cannot believe how much you accomplish, with a DH, two teenagers, a full time job and then you design knitting patterns and spin. Bye for now, I have to go rest!

Those freshly cleaned alpaca locks are beautiful, and what you did with them afterwards is even more so. :-)

Well, you certainly didn’t procrastinate about sending my lovely soap! It arrived today, and smells heavenly. Thank you so much!

WOW! Love the Alpaca/wool blend. Great job!

YOU procrastinate? That surprises me, and makes me feel much better about my own procrastination issues. :)

Ooooh, what’s that shiny thing over there? Sorry to distract you! ;)

Lovely spinning! Now get back to the contract ;-)
