Picture Perfect

It’s turned out to be a beautiful weekend with sunny skies and moderate-to-warm temperatures. My son called from Houston last night to tell us he “broke” into the second round of the NCFL Grand National Tournament. Woo Hoo!!

While he’s debating, I’ll be scoping out the new IKEA that just opened here on Wednesday. Then I’ll be relaxing in my back yard:

Or, maybe I’ll be tackling this basket of goodies:

Oh my gosh, are those red poppies? white peonies? What lovely flowers you have and that’s a basketful of wonderful you’ve got there!
    Enjoy the weekend!

Basket of goodies! I vote for the basket of goodies!

Though your back yard is pretty and I could easily relax there….How about spinning the basket of goodies in the backyard?

Um, see what you can do about keeping that weather around for a while, huh? I’m going nuts trying to pack, what with the 90’s down in Moab and the 40’s up in Montana! The wagons head out at 3:30 am EDT on Wednesday! (Wish my yard looked like that….)

Oh, I love that he is a member of the Forensics team!!! :) A truly exciting weekend for him and lots to celebrate when he arrives home!
You will need to rest in that gorgeous yard after shopping IKEA.

Garden is looking great - we really should be out in ours tackling the weeds, but it’s pouring with rain!
Lovely looking roving - what is it ? enquiring minds :-)

I love your backyard garden. Did you do all the brick pathways? I would like something like that but it looks a bit tricky. :-)

I love your garden, and especially the hammock. I am one of those people who has to keep one foot on the ground as I try to swing just a wee bit in a hammock! Motion sickness, I guess. Enjoy your Memorial Day Weekend!

I’ll bet it was totally nuts at Ikea, if the parking lot was any indication. You are braver than I am!

IKEA! I wish Albuquerque would get an IKEA already. I know I’d love it for craft room furniture.

    Your yard is gorgeous!

That would be a tough choice..the back yard is surely inviting..and landscaped quite beautifully..but knowing your love of the fiber..hmm..maybe some of each!!Happy Spinning, Knitting and Relaxing!!

You can do both at the same time, if your wheel is light enough. ;-) Though I’m not sure about spinning in the hammock…

That fiber is enticing! Wonderful colors. :-)
