I Should Be Blocking, Not Blogging
There seemed to be a lot of interest in the washcloth I blogged about on Friday. It’s knit using short-rows and garter stitch then the cast-on edge is joined to the stitches on the needle to make a seam from the outer edge to the center. I decided to use a variegated yarn to make it a bit more visually interesting. If you want more information on knitting geometric shapes in garter stitch, you should check out one of the first chapters in Barbara Walker’s Fourth Treasury. She has a whole lotta fun stuff packed into that chapter.
I’m happy to report that I finished the baby blanket. Photos later this week, including one of the teeny tiny bit of yarn that remained after it was bound off. *gulp*
I rewarded myself by putting away the needles and spinning up some of Judy Jackson‘s lovely Romney roving.
4 ounces and 350 yards

Very nice spinning. That’s not YOUR nail polish, is it?
Beautiful yarn!
Number one: Gorgie yarn.
Number two: You are the queen of “*that* much yarn left over!”
Well, I can at least aspire to such glory! I am impressed that my two-ply evens out to useable yarn… lovely colors for spring.

The yarn is lovely, but the manicure is freaking awesome.
Love the yarn…maybe a softer color nailpolish to compliment the yarn

Kittens LOOOVE the yarn, by the way.
