Confident
This week presents the first opportunity to test the accuracy of my new scale. I’m reworking the Horcrux pattern for sock-weight yarn with a slightly used skein of sock yarn.
Sock #1 is finished:
Will I have enough yarn to finish sock #2???
It’s looking good . . . well, if the scale is accurate.
I’m feeling confident enough to forge ahead.

Looks like you and I are in a close competition. See my blog entry for today. Mine are 0.2 of an ounce apart but sock #2 has 3 needles attached!
Do not worry you will find plan B in my blog!
Well – this looks good, definitely! Good luck!
You are good to us. Thanks.
that last photo…and the caption above it?
i’d most certainly buy that t-shirt from cafe press!
LOL

Looks good, Susan. I like the size of your scale. I’ve just ordered dk weight yarn to do the original pattern but look forward to the chance to do them in sock weight yarn as well.
The needles are US #0 5 inch long. My scale is a digital one, but I do have a jewelry scale. I might try that or just knit on and see what happens! Another idea is to knit both toes in a different color….
Confidence is good.
Oh, I’m so longing for a scale! :0)
Ooh ~ Horcrux w/ sock weight! Thank you for forging ahead!
Thanks for a fun pattern! I improvised a pair in sockweight and am eager to see the “official” version.
Hi.
I just wanted to tell you that I knit the Horcrux Socks. Liked the pattern a lot.
Maybe I’ll manage to post pictures of them in my blog tonight.
Have a nice day
Hey Susan, I printed out the pattern and bought 3 skeins of black DB cashmerino aran. I thought they would make a nice pair of pyjama socks. I would live to try the pattern in sockweight yarn as well. Thanks for yet another great pattern!
Don’t you love the scale? I don’t know how I did without one for so long.
This might be one of the most practical uses for your new toy. Think of the heartbreak it will save!
My socks are done! Take a look in my blog…..it WAS close!
Oh I love my scale-I use it for everything now. That sock yarn is gorgeous!!
